Luke 10,11

So begins my final series of blogs. Its been an amazing journey this year so I'm excited to process through these last few posts. Luke 10 and 11 is packed with so much good stuff its hard to really pinpoint some good talking points. However I'll focus just one piece of the two chapters that means a lot to me.  

Luke 10: Mary listens to Jesus

I've always loved the story of Jesus visit to the house of Martha. I like it because I often question whom I'd act more like, Mary or Martha? I think in a lot of ways I would try to be like Martha, bumbling around trying to take care of things. Making sure my guest is comfortable. I think so many people would be like me also, thinking that we must perform or be a caretaker of Jesus. The thing I think people often forget about Jesus (me included) is the dude was incredibly relational. Above all things he put time into being with people. He loved it and spent most of His ministry relating, loving upon, and forgiving. 

Jesus is still very much that way I think. He really wants us to drop the busyness and come sit at his feet and hang out. Every-time I actually do this, its astounding to see how much more I draw closer to Him. I'd imagine many of you could use the same.
