2 Samuel 18, Psalm 41&62: Still Faithful.

So I’ve really grown to love David. I think is has been really really neat to read the account of David’s life and read his Psalms side by side. It’s like reading a prayer journal that’s actually really good (am I the only one that rambles in a journal?).
We’ve continued to see God’s faithfulness throughout the generations. And I love how David reflects on this faithfulness – battle after battle, sin over sin – God is faithful. I’ve never read through the bible like a story as we are together. I’ve overwhelmed by God’s continued faithfulness…
I know that you are pleased with me, for my enemy does not triumph over me. (Psalm 41:11)

Do you believe that God is faithful in your life? Do you wait patiently and expectantly knowing that He is El Shaddai? Knowing that in the bad times and weird times and wonderful times that He remains constant and faithful – we are the ones that waiver.

My soul quietly waits for the True God alone;
    my salvation comes from Him.
He alone is my rock and my deliverance,
    my citadel high on the hill; I will not be shaken.

… …

My soul quietly waits for the True God alone
    because I hope only in Him.
He alone is my rock and deliverance,
    my citadel high on a hill;
    I will not be shaken.
My salvation and my significance depend ultimately on God;
    the core of my strength, my shelter, is in the True God.

… …

The True God spoke this once,
    and twice I’ve heard:
That You, the True God, hold all power;
12 Your love never fails, O Lord,
    for You pay every person back
    according to his deeds.
