Philippians 3-4

"Our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,  who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself. Therefore, my brothers, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm thus in the Lord, my beloved." ~Phil. 3:30-4:1

I thought about just hitting submit after copying that text from Philippians. I can't improve upon or add anything to it, but I guess that's not really why they asked me to blog right? This has been a difficult week to say the least. But when I think about you, the brothers and sisters I have at Red Door; when I picture your faces...the faces of my family, I have such joy and peace in knowing that God has provided me with a home. Yes, my citizenship is in heaven and that is my eternal place, but even now he has placed this orphan child into a family. We aren't perfect, but we're family. I love you guys and long for so many things for you, for us. Namely, that we would stand firm in the Lord.

Praise Jesus for hope and belonging.
